Where to Meet Your Driver at FIUMICINO AIRPORT (FCO)

Your Rome Cabs Driver will meet you at the Meeting Point, just after you exit the baggage claim area and enter the waiting area of the airport.

TERMINALS 1, 3: After you clear customs and collect your luggage in the "Baggage Claims Area", proceed to exit into the Main Waiting Hall.

Your driver will meet you in the Designated Area for Drivers marked by large round Green Columns (labeled N.C.C./ Limo Drivers) where you will see all other drivers waiting for their clients.

* At FCO Airport ALL PASSENGERS will either exit from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, even if airlines state arrival at Terminal 2 or Terminal 5. Drivers will monitor FCO Airport Arrival Flight monitors to verify exit points.

There will be about 300 METERS walking distance from the Terminal Building to the Designated Parking Area for Driver Service Vehicles in accordance with FCO Airport Security. Curbside pick-up is PROHIBITED. ALL travelers are required to walk the long distance to the vehicle as the drivers are not permitted at FCO to park closer to the Terminal.

Be sure to use a trolley for your luggage to assist with walking the distance to your parked vehicle.

Travelers with mobility issues can request Complimentary Wheelchair Assistance at FCO Airport in advance through their Airline Company. If requesting wheelchair assistance, please inform us in advance so we can include this important information in your reservation.

Flights are monitored for delays, and late arrivals are accommodated by the first available driver.

Where at the airport do we get dropped off?

Our guests are dropped off at the Passenger drop-off zone at the Terminal of the airline company they are departing from. Please inform us (or your driver) of the Terminal Number your flight will depart from as many airlines depart from multiple terminals.

What if my flight arrives late?

Please let us know immediately if you are experiencing any flight delays, flight cancellations or missed flights either by phone, text message, or email marked "urgent" in the subject line. We will monitor your flight, but please keep in mind that airlines and airports don't always offer accurate flight information, therefore we can only do our best with the information provided for us.

Is there an additional charge if my flight is late?

No.  As long as you keep us informed about any delays you are experiencing, we will send the first available driver (some waiting may be required if a new driver may not be available at the time your delayed flight arrives)

What if we don't see our driver?

Your driver will be inside the waiting area as per our email confirmation and VIDEO on the Airport Transfer page. If you cannot spot your driver, please call our office immediately and we'll be sure you'll meet your driver immediately.

Do not exit the airport or leave with unauthorized drivers who cannot confirm your final destination and quoted price.

What is the recommended pick-up time for transfers to the Airport?

As a general rule, most clients book their transfer pick-up at least 3 hours prior to International flight departure time.

For example, if your flight is scheduled to depart at 12:00 PM, you should schedule your pick-up in Rome no later than 9 AM.

How do we pay for the transfer?

We accept payment in full in Euro funds at the end of the service.

We also accept payment in advance via Paypal or Credit Card online at the time of confirmation of service.

Can I have a receipt?

Of course, just ask your driver for a formal receipt, or we can email you an invoice for the service we provided for you.

Are your vehicles non-smoking? Air-conditioned?

All of our cars are non-smoking and air-conditioned. Smoking is not permitted inside our vehicles.

Also, they meet all the safety requirements of the Italian Ministry of Transportation.

What if  we don't have enough Euros on us to pay for the service?

No problem, your chauffeur will gladly assist you in locating a convenient ATM machine.

How far in advance should we book our transfer?

In order to provide our clients with a private driver service, we must check for availability and assign our clients a chauffeur with proper size vehicle. All arrangements are made during our office hours.

During the busy travel and cruise season, it is recommended to book as far in advance as possible.

Can you make extra stops during the transfer or offer some sightseeing on the way to the hotel?

Certainly. You may book our VIP Transfer Service that includes 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours Tour by Car service that you can spend sightseeing in Rome, shopping, or choose anything you might need to do during this time.

What is included in the transfer price?

Your quoted fare includes a private deluxe vehicle with a professional Driver licensed by the municipality of Rome, fuel cost, applicable tolls, insurance, airport parking fees, and Italy’s VAT tax.

What is NOT included in the transfer price?

Not included in the standard transfer fare are: English Speaking Drivers,  gratuities, mini tours to Rome’s tourist attractions, and additional unscheduled stops on the way to your hotel.

If you prefer an English-speaking driver, an introduction to Rome mini tour by car around Rome’s main tourist attractions and monuments, additional stops on the way to your hotel, or commentary from the driver including tips and information for your visit to Rome, you might be interested in our V.I.P Transfer Service where your transfer and mini tour combination is lead by one of our top English speaking Drivers that specializes in tours.

Are tips/gratuities included?

Quoted prices do not include gratuities. You may tip your chauffeur if you are happy with the service he or she provided for you.

Can I pre-pay in advance so I don’t have to worry about money on the day of the transfers?

Certainly. You may pay us in advance via PayPal or Credit Card at the time of confirmation of Service.

Do you provide door-to-door service?

Yes, we do as long as the hotels in Rome provide ample parking facilities for drivers to provide door-to-door service.

However, please please keep in mind that many B&Bs, apartment rentals, and smaller hotels in Rome may be located in residential areas or on off-the-beaten-path streets that may be too narrow for our large vehicles to pass through or legally park. Some streets in Rome have traffic restrictions, are closed for construction, or it's unlawful to park and leave vehicles unattended such as in popular piazzas, near embassies or government buildings. In such cases, your Driver will drop you off as close to your door as lawfully possible and assist you with your luggage if it's possible for us to park and leave our vehicles unattended.

How do I make a reservation with Rome Cabs?

Please use our online booking service and complete all the fields In the form.

Can I make my reservations by phone or through our hotel concierge?

No. In order to ensure your reservation is made correctly, we only accept reservations made online via our website.

It’s just 2 of us, but we have too much luggage to fit into a sedan. Can we upgrade to a van?

Certainly. When you book your transfer you can see how many luggage pieces you can fit into our vehicles by visiting Our Fleet page. Whether you prefer more luggage room or a roomier vehicle for your own personal comfort, we can upgrade you to a deluxe van for an extra fee.

Please specify this when you book your transfer so we can reserve the proper vehicle for you. Failure to inform us of your vehicle needs in advance may make it difficult for us to provide it for you last minute if vehicles you request are not available.

Where will our Driver meet us at the Civitavecchia cruise port?

Our private driver's license grants us permission to meet our clients on the Pier next to your ship. You don't need to take a shuttle or walk a great distance. Your driver will meet you on the pier next to your ship with a sign with the Name in the Reservation.

When should I make a reservation?

As soon as you have your flight information and hotel bok.  We require at least 24-48 hours to process your reservation and check for availability,  therefore we cannot guarantee last-minute booking requests.

For visits during peak travel months (May through October) we recommend you book your transfers as far in advance as possible as we get booked fast during those months.
