For shared transfers from Rome hotels to Civitavecchia, we suggest all of the hotels be centrally located in order to save you driving time and money on Additional Hotel Pick-Ups. Travelers staying outside of Rome means increased transfer prices and increased driving time.
The order of your hotel pick-ups will be determined in advance in the most efficient manner based on the different hotel locations.
Recommended pick-up time from Rome hotel to Civitavecchia is between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This means that you may schedule your first pick-up at least 11:00 AM and your last hotel pick-up should be no later than 1:00 PM.
Once you depart from Rome together, the distance from Rome to Civitavecchia is about 1.5 hours pending local traffic conditions.
We require the Name of Each Party staying at different hotels so the driver will know who to ask for when arriving at the hotel to pick them up. The Lead Name in our reservation should be the same Name their hotel is registered under.

Your private driver will meet you inside the lobby of your hotel or in areas permitted by your hotel.
For Apartments or B&Bs without a lobby, your driver will meet you outside the main entrance of your Pick Up Address.
* If your hotel or accommodation is on a street or in an area restricted to vehicle traffic, your driver will park as close as lawfully possible, meet you on foot at your Address, and then accompany you to your parked vehicle. Door-to-door service is not possible on streets or squares that have vehicle restrictions.
Shared Transfers from Civitavecchia to Rome hotel
For shared transfers from Civitavecchia to Rome hotels, we suggest all of the hotels be centrally located to save you driving time and money for Additional Hotel Stops. For travelers staying outside of Rome, this means increased transfer prices and additional driving time.
If you prefer door-to-door service, make sure you will be staying at a hotel or accommodation that allows vehicles to access their street or square, and vehicles are permitted to stop and load/unload passengers in front of their entrance.
Otherwise, your driver will stop as close as lawfully possible to your hotel or accommodation address, and you will need to make your way to your accommodation on foot. Your driver will be happy to assist if possible to park and the vehicle unattended, otherwise, your driver can call your hotel or accommodation to send a porter or host to assist you with your luggage.
Recommended Pick Up time for Transfers from Civitavecchia to Rome:
Most cruisers disembark between 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
Establish in advance a common Pick Up Time for everyone in your group, just in case some disembark faster than others.
MEETING POINT to meet your Driver at Civitavecchia Port:

There are no extra fees for dropping off passengers are different Departure Terminals. Just let us know in advance which party will be going to which Departure Terminal and we will include this information in your reservation for your driver to know where to take different members of your group.
Since many airlines share the same Departure Terminals, check your Airline Ticket for your Flight’s Departure Terminal: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3….
Folks staying at a hotel in Fiumicino can also share in this transfer for an Additional Fee for the additional stops.
** Cruisers going to the Airport will be dropped off First before the passengers are dropped off at hotels in Fiumicino.
Shared Transfer from Civitavecchia to Fiumicino Airport
Make sure everyone’s flight departures are close together.
If departure flights are hours apart, it may be difficult for the later departing party to wait extensively at the airport, especially as check-in counters only open at a certain time prior to the actual flight departure time. There may not be suitable places to wait extensively in the entrance lobby.
Book your transfer from Civitavecchia to Fiumicino Airport with a pick-up time most suitable for the party whose flight departure is the earliest.
Travel time from Civitavecchia to Fiumicino Airport is about 1 hour (pending local traffic conditions).
If anyone in your group will be going to a hotel in Fiumicino, be sure to mention this in the Special Request Box of the booking form, along with the complete Hotel Name and Address, City.
Shared Transfers from Civitavecchia to Ciampino Airport
Ciampino Airport is a smaller regional airport, therefore if everyone in your Civitavecchia shared transfer can be dropped off together at the airport.
We don’t recommend different members of your group going to different airports such as some going to Ciampino Airport and some going to Fiumicino Airport due to the distance between the airports and additional fees associated with transportation between the airports.
Should you book a shared transfer from Airport to Civitavecchia?
Shared transfers are NOT recommended from Ciampino Airport or FCO Airport to Civitavecchia due to travelers arriving on different flights and at different times. Missed flights and connections, flight delays, and lost or delayed luggage can throw a wrench in your shared transfer plans.

Keep in mind your total luggage count
The maximum luggage capacity per vehicle is 8 passengers (with smaller seats), but the luggage capacity of most vans is a maximum of 6 suitcases and a maximum of 6 small carryons.
You may upgrade, pending availability, to a large 8-passenger people carrier that can accommodate up to 8 suitcases and up to 8 carryons. These larger vehicles are fewer and tend to get booked up fast by groups.
For everyone’s comfort inside the vehicle and sufficient space for luggage, we recommend up to 6 passengers in total (assuming each passenger will travel with no more than 1 suitcase and 1 carry-on per person).
If members of your Civitavecchia transfer-sharing plan to bring extra luggage, you may need to decrease the number of passengers in your vehicle so you don’t exceed the vehicle’s luggage capacity.

How to Pay for your Civitavecchia Shared Transfers?
